Lawrenceville United is a non-profit, resident-driven, community-based organization, which was established in May of 2001. As of October 2007, LU had over 460 members. The organization encompasses the 6th, 9th, and 10th wards of Lawrenceville in the City of Pittsburgh. Lawrenceville United works with the residents of Lawrenceville to give voice to the concerns of the citizens. We work with community leaders to solve the problems of the residents. This includes working with city council representatives, law enforcement, building inspectors and others. We also seek to compliment the work of the Lawrenceville Corporation. Membership is open to all residents of Lawrenceville, regardless of City Ward, race, years lived in Lawrenceville, age, income, religion, sexual orientation, political views, or disability.
